Luz Lopez-Guerrero, WellMed director of growth and broker relations, Austin, has received the 2023 HABLA Con Orgullo (Speak with Pride) Award in the Latina Community Leader category from the Hispanic Advocates Business Leaders of Austin (HABLA).

The awards are presented during Hispanic Heritage Month and recognizes the leadership and impact of Latinos in Austin, Texas. In her role, Luz educates agents and agencies about the WellMed model of care for our Medicare-eligible population.

HABLA is a think tank group and forum made up of Austin Hispanic/Latino community and business leaders committed to discussing and developing sustainable solutions on current affairs, public policies and quality of life issues impacting the Austin Hispanic/Latino community.

Luz was recognized at the annual ceremony on Sept. 21.
